This past weekend, the GITI Gazelles Off-road team, proudly supported by eurospare, faced the challenging “Dames De Coeur” rally in the scenic terrains of Burgundy.
Here’s the summary of the week end directly from the driver’s seat, Helen Tait Wright: “It was great fun, and fortunately, we didn’t get stuck anywhere, but it was hard on Delilah (the Defender) and on Jenni. We encountered a freak accident with a tree—an unexpected twist that led to Jennifer suffering a broken collar bone. It was a very technically challenging rally, indicative of the true spirit of motorsport, where the saying goes—if you don’t have problems, you aren’t trying hard enough!”
Despite the challenges, including the unexpected accident and the potential technical issues with Delilah, the spirit of the GITI Gazelles has never been stronger. Motorsports demand skill, strategy and also resilience and our team displayed all this and more.
We extend our heartfelt wishes for a speedy recovery to Jennifer, and a thorough check-up for Delilah. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to navigate the exciting world of off-road racing.
