It’s been an incredible journey watching the Gazelles tackle Project Purdey, transforming a simple shed into a fully functional workshop and giving this Land Rover the restoration it deserves. Each step of the way, eurospare has been thrilled to supply the parts and witness Purdey come back to life!
Workshop Setbacks & First Fixes
The Gazelles dove into the build by assembling every component they could onto the chassis. Challenges popped up—especially when Danny’s bulkhead needed some care—but the team expertly cleaned, primed, and patched it up, bringing new life to this critical piece.
Proud eurospare Partnering
eurospare’s partnership with the Gazelles on Project Purdey has been an exciting collaboration. We’re proud to supply essential parts, from new suspension mounts and ball joints to shock absorbers. Knowing that the Gazelles’ capable hands are putting these parts to work is incredibly rewarding, especially as they transform Purdey into a truly standout Land Rover.
The A-Series Frame Adventure
The Gazelles encountered a few surprises with Purdey’s A-frame, especially when the bolts refused to cooperate. But with a bit of ingenuity (and some screwdrivers cleverly standing in for bolts), they overcame the obstacle and secured the A-frame with bushings for a solid fit.
Suspension Lifts & Underbody Protection
eurospare has also been thrilled to see Purdey gain a 2-inch suspension lift, setting her up for both rugged style and adventure-ready durability. Our mounts, stops, and other key parts are helping to ensure that Purdey’s foundation is rock-solid.
Fuel Tank Fitting Challenges
Fitting the fuel tank proved to be an adventure of its own, but Chris, the Gazelles’ mechanic, offered his expertise to ensure everything was aligned. Thanks to their resilience and teamwork, Purdey’s fuel system is now ready to hit the road.
Looking Ahead
